Early Childhood Assistant Teacher (Part-time: Afternoons 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM)

Location: Wilmington, DE

Are you an Early Childhood Educator who loves finger painting, blowing bubbles, and reading stories using puppets and props to encourage a playful spirit and show children that reading is fun? Join a premier preschool located on Wilmington's beautiful riverfront!

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative and engaging lesson plans that abide by Goddard standards
• Meet the individual needs of the children
• Effectively and professionally communicate with parents and fellow staff members
• Participate in staff meetings and training events
• Lead and set the tone for a developmentally appropriate classroom environment
• Interact with children to support play, exploration, and learning
• Present expectations that are appropriate to the child's age and developmental level
• Plan and implement activities that develop self-esteem, intellectual stimulation, and social skills
• Build teamwork
• Use computer-based and written assessment tools
• Commit to continuing education and stay current on the latest early childhood practices
• Ensure compliance with Goddard's industry-leading quality assurance standards
• Write and implement lesson plans based on Goddard developmental guidelines and regularly changing school themes

Qualifications
