Job summary

The Goddard School in Wilmington, DE is seeking energetic part-time Assistant Teachers for end-of-day coverage with potential to move to full-time. The role focuses on implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum, leading activities, and fostering a nurturing environment for children.

Candidates should have an associate degree and TECE 1/2 or CDA credentials, with at least 6 months of classroom experience and a DE First Certificate.

Qualifications

The Goddard School, an early childhood education center, is in Wilmington, DE and is currently seeking qualified Part Time Teacher. Qualifications for assistant teachers include:

• At least associates degree,
• TECE 1 and/or TECE 2 or CDA credential,
• At least 6 months of experience in an early childhood classroom
• Must possess Delaware Department of Education/ DE First Certificate
• Has successfully completed state-required pre-requested training
• Develops relationships and communicates effectively with children, families and faculty members
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children
• Strong written and communication skills
