Job summary

Wonderspring seeks an Assistant Teacher Float at the Smith Playground Center to support preschool-aged children and help maintain classroom coverage. You will move between classrooms, assist daily routines, supervise actively, and build strong relationships with children, families, and staff.

You will follow guidance from the lead teacher, maintain safe, clean environments, and participate in center-wide efforts to ensure consistent care and coverage.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CDA certification required.
• 2+ years of experience working with children preferred.
• Must obtain all required clearances and TB health assessment prior to employment.

About the Position

Wonderspring, a nonprofit early childhood education organization, is seeking dedicated team members to support our Smith Playground Center. This role provides support throughout our center working with preschool aged children while helping to ensure consistent care and coverage throughout the center.

• Step into different classrooms as needed to help with coverage and maintain ratio.
• Support daily routines and classroom activities
• Provide active supervision at all times to keep children safe
• Build and maintain relationships with children, families, co-workers and administrators.
• Follow and adhere to the responsibilities outlined by the lead teacher for the classroom.
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized environments

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• CDA Certification required
• 2+ years of experience working with children, infants and toddlers preferred
• Strong teamwork and flexibility
• Ability to keep information private
• Basic knowledge of childcare rules
• Must obtain all required clearances and complete a Health Assessment with TB screening prior to employment.
