YMCA Silver Spring Early Learning in Silver Spring, MD is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support daily learning and care for children in our licensed early education program.

Candidates must be 18+, have a high school diploma or GED, CPR/First Aid, and pass required health and background checks. Strong teamwork and clear communication with families are essential to success in this role.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have high school diploma or GED with CPR and First Aid.
• Documentation of physical examination and TB skin test.
• Clear criminal background/fingerprint checks as required.
• Must meet county/state licensing requirements.
• One year of teaching experience in a licensed center.
• Ability to relate to parents, staff and children with a positive, creative attitude.
• Ability to work well as part of a team and communicate effectively.
