Job summary

Tri--county-Child-and-Famil is seeking a Head Start Aide in Waterloo, IA. You will create a safe, welcoming environment for children and families and support development through developmentally appropriate activities.

The role requires a high school diploma (GED), the CDA credential after hire, and basic computer skills. No prior experience is necessary, and DHS clearance is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Post-hire CDA credential is required with agency assistance.
• No prior experience is necessary; head Start or school setting preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and database systems is expected.
• Must be cleared to work in a childcare setting by the Iowa DHS.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, nurturing environment for children and families.
• Deliver services per Head Start Performance Standards and applicable regulations.
• Assist in instruction of preschoolers to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth.
• Meet school readiness goals through curriculum implementation.

Role Overview:

Minimum Requirements:
