Job summary

Munson Healthcare in northern Michigan seeks a dedicated lead teacher to support daily classroom activities and outdoor play while upholding safety and child development best practices. You will plan weekly activities, communicate with parents, and collaborate with the Coordinator to ensure a nurturing learning environment.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, be able to lift 30 pounds, and preferably hold an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or experience in child

Responsibilities

• Supports and assists lead teacher in classroom management and daily schedule.
• Plan and execute daily classroom and outdoor activities; weekly lesson plans posted for parents and submitted to Coordinator.
• Supervise meals, toileting, and activities inside and outside.
• Attend staff meetings, conferences as needed, and ongoing training.
• Help clean and organize the center as needed.
• Ensure health, welfare, and safety of children; respond to needs of parents and children.

Job Description

A Day in the Life

• Supports and assists lead teacher in all aspects of the classroom management and daily schedule.
• Responsible for the daily planning and execution of all classroom and outdoor activities for the group. Lesson plans will be prepared on a weekly basis with one copy being posted in the classroom for parents, and one copy turned into the Coordinator.
• Supervision for meal times, toileting procedures, inside and outside activities for children in the classroom.
• Attendance at all staff meetings, parent conferences (as needed), and ongoing training.
• Cleaning and organizing of the center as needed.
• Responsible for the health, welfare, and safety of children in assigned group. Responds to needs, questions, concerns of parents and children in an effective and timely manner.

Additional Information
