Job Description

• Serves as a working leader, coordinating activities of workers and service employees engaged in food operations.
• Assists in ensuring a safe working environment throughout the facility for all employees.
• Assists in monitoring employee productivity and provides suggestions for increased service or productivity.
• Assists in the supervision of day‑to‑day activities of subordinates and assigns responsibility for specific work or functional activities.
• Orients and trains employees.
• Performs day to day assignments in addition to lead duties.
• Works with customers to ensure satisfaction in such areas as quality, service, and problem resolutions.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications – What’s Required

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years progressively more responsible experience in the institutional food service industry.
• Must have production experience, ability to problem‑solve, cash handling experience, previous experience supervising both people & resources, and be self‑motivated. This position will lead the meal service at MCHC as well as support the management team at Munson Medical Center. Ability to effectively communicate policies, and/or procedures in a manner easily understood by fellow employees.

Preferred

• Supervisory or leadership experience.

Additional Information

Munson Healthcare requires all employees to be vaccinated or have lab‑confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella. MHC also requires all employees to receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption.
