Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking dependable, positive individuals to support a classroom team in creating a safe and engaging learning environment. You will assist with daily activities, supervise children, and help bring the curriculum to life while ensuring a smooth classroom experience.

Ideal candidates are passionate about working with young children, patient and collaborative, and open to feedback and growth. A background in early childhood education is preferred, and state licensing requirements must

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; coursework/degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience with young children in childcare/preschool or similar setting preferred.
  • Basic understanding of classroom procedures; willingness to learn state licensing and compliance requirements.
  • Must meet state education, certification (including CPR/First Aid where required), licensing, and regulatory requirements; pass background checks; engage in ongoing professional development.
  • Effective communication and a collaborative approach with children, families, and team members.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain active supervision, ensuring safety and appropriate ratios.
