Job summary

Celebree School of Bristow is seeking a Substitute Teacher to support classrooms and ensure a safe, nurturing environment for young children. This flexible, on-call, part-time role follows daily routines and assists with age-appropriate learning activities and basic care.

You will work with lead teachers, maintain a clean classroom, and communicate with families with reliability, patience, and a professional appearance, including uniform adherence.

Qualifications

• Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine love for working with children.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Physical ability to frequently bend, stoop, squat, reach, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
• Assist lead teachers in classroom management, ensuring compliance with all regulations, company standards, policies, and procedures.
• Follow established lesson plans and daily routines.
• Engage children in age-appropriate learning activities, games, and storytelling.
• Assist with feeding, diapering/toileting, and other basic care needs.
• Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and a safe environment.
• Communicate effectively and respectfully with children, staff, and parents.
• Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
• Present a positive and professional image at all times, adhering to uniform requirements.
