Children\'s Land of Glenview is seeking a compassionate Assistant Teacher to join our family and team-oriented organization. Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating educational activities that are thematic, engaging, and meet high-quality standards.
  • Support the assessment of each child\'s development, tailoring the curriculum to meet diverse needs.
  • Contribute to a warm and safe classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
  • Maintain open and empathetic communication with parents and guardians, offering regular updates on their children\'s progress and daily activities.
  • Participate actively in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and training workshops.
  • Help manage classroom resources, ensuring all materials are readily available and well-maintained.
  • Consistently monitor children to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to maintain a cohesive and effective learning environment.
Qualifications
  • Associate\'s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field; Bachelor\'s degree preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in assisting with teaching children in a preschool or similar setting.
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
  • Familiarity with educational and safety regulations in childcare.
  • Demonstrable understanding of diverse educational methods and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on empathy and nurturing.
  • Physical ability to engage actively with children.
