Job summary

Swhra in Tennessee seeks an Assistant Teacher for Head Start to support a classroom of up to 20 preschool children. You will help implement instruction and substitute for the regular teacher when needed, fostering a safe, engaging learning environment.

Responsibilities include making home visits, encouraging parent involvement, and collaborating with staff on enrollment and family needs. A HS diploma or GED is required; CDA or ECE degree preferred, with willingness to continue education.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; a Child Development Associate Credential preferred; Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred: experience/training in working with preschool children desired; must be willing to continue education.
