Job summary

Spectrum 360 A NJ Non Profit Corp. in Annandale, NJ is seeking an Assistant Teacher for a part-time, hourly role (Mon-Fri 1:00pm-6:00pm) to support children's learning and well-being.

You will engage with kids, create engaging activities, and collaborate with our caring team in a community-focused YMCA setting. We value diversity and teamwork, and the role offers opportunities to contribute to a positive, learning-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Are 21+ and have 2+ years of experience working with children in a professional, volunteer, or familial capacity
• High school diploma
• Associate/Bachelor degree or college credits from an accredited college or university in childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field preferred
• Passionate about working with children in a fun, diverse environment
• Ability to pass all relevant clearances

Responsibilities

• Finding new and engaging ways to help kids learn
• Being patient and kind with our parents
• Cultivating and fostering a safe and nurturing environment that will encourage physical, emotional, and intellectual growth of children in the program
• Adjusting curriculum to ensure that all children meet the learning objectives
• Utilizing state and YMCA guidelines to ensure the safety and well being of the children

Annandale, NJ | Part Time, Hourly; Monday-Friday 1:00pm-6:00pm | $17.00-$19.00 per hour
