Job summary

Niagara University in New York invites applications for an Assistant Swimming Coach. Under general supervision, you assist the head coach in building the swimming program, developing student-athletes academically and athletically, and supporting the University's mission.

Responsibilities include recruiting student-athletes, mentoring swimmers, adhering to NCAA/MAAC/NU rules, and performing duties as assigned by the head coach. The role emphasizes confidentiality and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or high school diploma with outstanding playing/coaching experience.
• 1+ year coaching swimming at high school/college level OR 3+ years college-level competitive experience.
• Valid driver's license that allows driving for university business, including Canada.
• In good standing with USA Swimming, Safe Sport, NCAA.

Responsibilities

• Recruit student-athletes through evaluations, visits, and communications.
• Instruct and mentor swimmers in dryland, in-water practice, and competition.
• Ensure compliance with NCAA, MAAC, NU athletics rules and regulations.
• Maintain confidentiality of student and employee information.
• Assist head coach with social media, travel, meals, gear, and alumni outreach.
