Job summary

River-Crossing-Ymca in Quakertown, PA is looking for an Assistant Swim Coach to join our part-time, hourly team. You will work with young swimmers, develop coaching skills, and contribute to a safety-focused, supportive environment.

Ideal candidates are 18+ with competitive swimming experience, experience with children ages 7-18, strong communication, and a willingness to obtain lifesaving certifications. YMCA offers values-driven, community-centered work and member perks.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 or older.
• Experience as a student-athlete in competitive swimming.
• Experience coaching or educating children aged 7–18.

Responsibilities

• Relate to young student-athletes in swimming.
• Demonstrate knowledge of competitive swimming.
• Listen to student-athletes and be an encouraging role model.

Passionate about coaching the lifesaving skill of swimming? We are looking for individuals, age 18+ to serve as an Assistant Swim Coach. As an Assistant Swim Coach, you develop important skills such as communication, leadership and responsibility that will serve you for a lifetime!

What is needed for this job as our Assistant Swim Coach:

• 18+ years of age
• Participated in competitive Swimming as a student-athlete
• Worked with children ranging in ages 7-18, as either a coach or educator
• Can be a positive role model for our swimmers
• Obtain lifesaving certifications (First Aid/CPR/AED/Emergency Oxygen) - training provided

• Ability to relate to young student-athletes in the sport of swimming
• Have a knowledge of competitive swimming
