Job summary

The Arc Ocean County Chapter seeks an Assistant Supervisor for its Adult Day Program in New Jersey. You will coordinate daily operations, support staff development, and help participants achieve independence, vocational skills, and community inclusion.

You'll lead with program leadership to uphold high standards of participant care, ensure accurate records, and foster a safe, person-centered environment. This full-time role offers steady schedule and meaningful impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Special Education, or related field.
• Minimum of two years of experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in direct support or adult day programs.
• New Jersey driver's license in good standing with no more than five points.
• Ability to successfully complete required background screenings and maintain compliance with agency drug testing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily activities and operations of the day program.
• Coordinate staffing, workflow, and team communication.
• Coach and develop program staff.
• Track participant progress toward individualized goals.
• Promote independence, vocational development, and daily living skills.
• Ensure a safe, inclusive, person-centered environment.
• Collaborate with families, Support Coordinators, and community partners.
