Job summary

The Arc of Ocean County seeks an Assistant Supervisor for its Adult Day Program to guide daily operations, mentor staff, and advance individualized services promoting independence and community inclusion.

You will collaborate with leadership to maintain high standards of care, coordinate staffing, and support staff development while ensuring quality participant outcomes and a safe, welcoming setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Special Education, or a related field.
• Minimum of two years of experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in a direct support, vocational, or adult day program setting.
• Valid New Jersey driver's license in good standing with no more than five (5) motor vehicle points.
• Ability to successfully complete required background screenings and maintain compliance with agency drug testing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily activities and operations of the day program, contributing to an efficient and effective program environment.
• Work alongside program leadership to uphold strong standards for participant care and service delivery.
• Assist with coordinating staffing, daily workflow, and team communication so program needs are addressed effectively.
• Coach and support program employees while encouraging collaboration and professional development.
• Track participant progress toward individualized objectives involving independence, vocational development, and daily living skills.
