Job summary

Memorial Healthcare System seeks a Clinical Laboratory Technologist with Florida licensure to supervise defined laboratory operations. Ideal candidate has 5 years of clinical lab experience and solid LIS familiarity.

Graduate of an accredited Medical Technologist/MLS or Histotechnology program required; ability to work under stress and communicate effectively with internal and external customers is essential.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of experience as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
• Florida State licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Supervisor in the defined area of responsibility.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Technologist, Medical Laboratory Scientist program, or accredited Histotechnology program.

Complexity of Work

Intermediate knowledge of laboratory procedures and instrumentation. Ability to effectively relate and communicate with internal and external customers. Intermediate knowledge of laboratory information systems. Requires critical thinking skills, effective communication skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Required Work Experience

Five (5) years of experience as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
