Job summary

Discovery Cove Orlando, part of SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment, seeks enthusiastic Ambassadors to ensure safety for guests, ambassadors, and animals. You’ll train staff, supervise opening/closing, and maintain clean, compliant operations. The role requires strong communication, cash handling, and the ability to work varied shifts.

Ideal candidates are 18+, have CPR/AED training, multi-system experience, and excellent guest service skills. Benefits include free park admission and employee events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Leadership experience preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable speaking in front of large groups of guests and ambassadors
• Ability to complete CPR/AED training/certification
• Ability to be trained and certified at all attractions
• Excellent computer skills, ability to work multiple selling systems preferred
• Previous cash handling experience preferred
• Valid state driver’s license and ability to obtain company driver’s license
• At least 18 years old
• Ability to operate in a cash handling environment
• Three full days of open availability
• Ability to work varying shifts including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and until 3:00 a.m. for seasonal events

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe environment for ambassadors, guests, and animals
• Develop OJT’s and ambassadors by providing training, feedback and coaching
• Ensure compliance with state/federal regulations, park policies, and department procedures
• Create and maintain unit’s team rotation grid
• Maintain highest level of park cleanliness and perform quality inspections
• Respond to guest and ambassador needs
• Report to Supervisors and Managers on project status
• Oversee daily opening and closing procedures
• Use problem solving for positive guest resolutions
• Oversee assigned operating area
• Adhere to cash handling procedures
• Perform other miscellaneous tasks as required

What you get to do:

• Ensure a safe environment for all ambassadors, guests, and animals

What it takes to succeed:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Leadership experience preferred

• Possession or pursuit of a bachelor’s degree preferred

• Excellent computer skills, ability to work multiple selling systems preferred

• Previous cash handling experience preferred

• Valid state driver’s license and be able to obtain a company driver’s license

• At least 18 years old

• Ability to complete provided CPR/AED training/certification

• Ability to be trained and certified at all attractions

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Comfortability speaking in front of large groups of guests and ambassadors

• Ability to remain calm and professional during challenging situations

• Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time

• Ability to bend and stoop to assist in cleaning the park

• Ability to lift 25 pounds and push/pull 50 pounds

• Ability to able to climb stairs

• Ability to walk in sand

• Ability to assist in ride testing by riding all park rides

• Ability to operate in a cash handling environment

• Three full days of open availability

• Availability to work varying shifts or hours based on park hours; i.e. flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, holidays, and until 3:00 a.m. for seasonal events
