What It Takes To Succeed

• Be at least 18 years old
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a current Texas EMT-B, AEMT or EMT-P certification or be able to obtain Texas reciprocity in 30 days from the date of job offer.
• Must have a current AHA (or ARC) BLS certificate.
• Have a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain a SEA driver’s license.
• Be able to walk at a brisk pace for a quarter of a mile while carrying 20 lbs.
• Be able to stand, walk, and work for prolonged periods of time in extreme weather conditions.
• Be proficient in basic computer/Window’s software knowledge
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; proficient in the English language
• Preferred 1 year of theme park health services

What You Get To Do

As an Assistant Supervisor for Health Services, you will provide daily frontline leadership for the SeaWorld EMT team and ensure all first aid facilities are properly staffed, appropriately stocked, and held to company quality guidelines. You will establish and maintain a positive atmosphere to ensure the highest level of ambassador performance and guest service while enforcing and complying with all applicable regulations, local and corporate medical direction and standing orders, and park/department guidelines.

What Else Is Important

• Provides excellent guest service to guests and ambassadors.
• Be able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 30 lbs.
• Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift and climb/ascend heights, if needed.
• Ability to work in high stress conditions and maintain composure in both presence and communication.
• Work a flexible schedule/hour based on business need, to include opening, mid-, and closing shifts; nights, weekends, special assignments, and holidays.
• Ability to influence others to accomplish team and/or department objectives.
• Demonstrates initiative, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills; professional and outgoing presence required.
• Responsible for managing ambassador performance ensuring appropriate ambassador training, providing formal and informal feedback on performance, and making recommendations related to progressive discipline.
• Responsible for ensuring emergency facilities are appropriately stocked and held to company quality guidelines.
