Responsibilities
  • Provide assistance in planning, organizing, supervising, and directing prioritization and assignment of work orders for the Carpentry, Paint, and Lock Shop.
  • Direct employees, including inspection of completed work.
  • Order materials required for work completion.
  • Maintain appropriate controls in budgeting, particularly in the form of overtime.
  • Demonstrate ability to administer multiple tasks and projects, continuously meeting deadlines.
  • Respond to campus emergencies at any time; this position is considered essential.
  • Ensure ability to physically walk campus and up stairs, and use ladders as a normal part of duties.

Normal work schedule is Monday‑Friday 6:30 AM‑2:30 PM.

Full‑Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $86,000 to $107,500; salary commensurate with relevant experience.

Requirements
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills, including ability to make sound decisions based on available information.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred; state licensure for trades/construction certifications is a plus.
  • Minimum of five (5) years supervisory experience in construction/maintenance, preferably within a large, complex building portfolio or suitable trades environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive) and Smartsheet. Experience with a timekeeping system and work order management system preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license.
