Job summary

Nb27 in Northbrook, IL is seeking an Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning to lead curriculum development and alignment district-wide. This role reports to the Superintendent and directs instructional planning.

The successful candidate will hold a valid Illinois PEL with administrative endorsement, have extensive experience in educational leadership, and travel between district schools as needed to support teaching and learning outcomes.

Qualifications

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with administrative endorsement.
• Current Illinois Teacher Evaluator training.
• Eight years of progressively responsible experience in teaching and educational administration.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Deep knowledge of curriculum development and alignment.
• Ability to travel between Hickory Point, Shabonee, and Wood Oaks Schools several times per week.

Responsibilities

• Leads curriculum review, assessment, and revision process district-wide.
• Supervises evaluation of existing learning programs in the district.
• Develops and implements district curriculum and related testing coordination.
• Supports principals with creating innovative programs and professional development.
• Coordinates state and district testing programs and reports to Board and community.
