Job summary

Washington State Department of Social and Health Services seeks a seasoned leader to serve as Assistant Superintendent at Lakeland Village, overseeing a 24-hour residential habilitation center and assisting the Superintendent with planning, organizing, directing, and controlling client programs and operations.

You will help drive policy, budgets, and program quality while collaborating with program area teams and union/management groups to ensure compliant, high‑quality services for individuals

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services, sociology, social work, psychology, education, health services, nursing, public administration, or health care administration.
• Five years of professional experience supervising or managing a social service or healthcare setting.
• Master or Doctoral degree may substitute for two years of supervisory experience.
• Equivalent relevant professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lead, organize, and manage the work performed by the organization to ensure effective services are delivered with optimum use of resources.
• Oversee strategic operations by developing long-range goals and implementation plans.
• Conduct personnel actions including hiring, training, motivation, evaluations, appreciation, and corrective action.
• Participate in Union/Management Communications Committees.
• Work with Program Area Team (PAT) Directors to ensure the quality and compliance of our services.
