Job summary

State of Washington Dept. of Social and Health Services seeks an experienced Assistant Superintendent for Lakeland Village to support the Superintendent in planning, organizing, directing, and controlling client programs and operations.

The role involves leadership of a 24-hour residential habilitation center, budgeting, policy implementation, and coordination with unions and program area teams to ensure quality services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services, sociology, social work, psychology, education, or related health services field.
• Five years of professional experience supervising or managing a social service or healthcare setting.
• Master's or Doctoral degree may substitute for two years of supervisory/management experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lead, organize, and manage the work to ensure effective services with optimal resources.
• Oversee strategic operations with long-range goals and implementation plans.
• Conduct personnel actions including hiring, training, evaluations, and corrective action.
• Participate in Union/Management Communications Committees.
• Collaborate with PAT Directors to ensure quality and compliance of services.
