Position

Full‑Time Construction Assistant Superintendent – Graf Street, Bozeman, MT 59715.

Salary: $90,000 – $135,000 per year with performance bonus target of 10%.

About the Project

341‑unit four‑story garden‑style multifamily development (Graf Street). Construction period estimated at 25 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Site Superintendent in delivering the project on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with company quality standards.
• Prepare, maintain, and distribute the project schedule; coordinate scheduling of materials, equipment, manpower, and subcontractors.
• Monitor work pace and quality; prepare status reports and monitor deliveries, subcontractors, and schedules.
• Maintain a safe jobsite, review the safety manual, document subcontractor training, and attend safety meetings.
• Review project plans and subcontractor scopes to identify gaps, notify the Superintendent, and generate and follow up on RFIs.
• Supervise and direct onsite hourly employees; plan site traffic of personnel and vehicles.
• Coordinate inspections with local authorities and liaison with inspectors.
• Enforce subcontractor scopes, inspect work for compliance with manufacturer installation requirements and project documents, and coordinate inspections prior to successive trades.
• Create and maintain punch lists for all construction stages and document daily, weekly, and monthly photos, product documentation, and checklists.
• Attend meetings and manage delivery schedules, RFIs, submittals, field directives, safety communications, and other construction documentation; follow up on action items.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Experience in multifamily construction projects (ground‑up, garden style, podium, wrap, or urban mid‑rise).
• Strong collaboration with subcontractors and ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
• Full lifecycle project management from site clearing and earthwork to scheduling, performance evaluation, and communication with the Site Superintendent.

Qualifications

• 4‑year degree in a construction‑related field or equivalent experience (preferred).
• 3–5 years experience in multifamily site supervision with proven ability to use multiple project management software tools (LIHTC garden style experience preferred).
• Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Successful background check and drug screen (required).
• Legal authorization to work in the United States (I‑9 compliance).
