Job summary

R.H. White Construction & Service Solutions is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to oversee field operations, coordinate safety, and support project teams to deliver on schedule, on budget, and with quality.

You will manage look-ahead schedules, interface with customers and subcontractors, monitor QA/QC, and assist in hiring or disciplining field staff. Strong safety focus and ability to run meetings are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• 3+ years of heavy/industrial construction management experience; Water/Wastewater experience a plus.
• MA Construction Supervisor License preferred.
• Ability to run project meetings.
• Knowledge of construction cost control and basic accounting.
• Knowledge of scheduling software (Primavera, Microsoft Project).
• OSHA 10 Construction Certification or able to obtain pre-employment.
• DOT medical card, pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Valid U.S. unrestricted Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to and promote all Company Safety Policies and Code of Conduct.
• Coordinate and facilitate the Daily Safety Huddle when needed.
• Ensure Daily Safety Plans or Job Hazard Analyses are completed by onsite crews.
• Assist the Superintendent/PM in supervising field construction work.
• Interface with customers, project teams, site supervision, field personnel, and subcontractors.
• Develop a three-week look-ahead schedule and dispatch field labor and equipment promptly.
• Approve project personnel transactions, purchase requisitions, and design changes.
• Maintain accurate time and material records and complete client paperwork.
• Ensure on-site personnel comply with procedures, safety, and policies.
• Assist with hiring and disciplinary actions for field staff.
• Perform other duties as required.

Essential Functions/Position Responsibilities:

• Adhere to and promote all Company Safety Policies and the Company Code of Conduct.

• Ensure the Daily Safety Plans or Job Hazard Analysis' are completed by all onsite crews.
• Aid the Superintendent/Project Manager in the supervision of the field construction work effort.
• Interface with customers, project teams, site supervision, field personnel, including subcontractors.
• Develop three-week look ahead schedule and dispatch field labor and equipment in timely manner
• Approve all project personnel transactions, purchase requisitions, field design change requests, etc.
• Maintain accurate time and material records and complete client paperwork as required.
• Support and ensure all on-site personnel comply with project procedures, safety and all company policies.
• Make recommendations on the hiring and disciplinary actions of field employees.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as required.

Hiring Requirements:

• High School Diploma
• 3+ years of experience in heavy/industrial construction management desired or a combination of experience/continued education may be substituted for experience. Water/Wastewater related construction experience a plus.
• MA Construction Supervisor License (Preferred).
• Ability to run project meetings, as needed.
• Knowledge of construction cost control and basic accounting procedures.
• Knowledge of scheduling software (Primavera, Microsoft Project etc.)
• OSHA 10 Construction Certification, or ability to obtain during pre-employment (company provided online training).
• Obtain and maintain a DOT medical card, clearpre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Valid U.S. unrestricted Driver's License.
