Job summary

Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club in Maricopa, AZ, seeks a Full-Time Assistant Superintendent to join a fast-paced, hospitality-focused property operated by Troon. The role supports the Superintendent in budgeting, staffing, and overseeing day-to-day turf maintenance and course construction across greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and bunkers.

Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in agronomy/horticulture/plant/soil science, 3–4 years of related experience, proficiency in

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in agronomy, horticulture, plant/soil science
• 3-4 years related experience; or equivalent combination
• Experience in turf grass management is preferred

Responsibilities

• Works with the Superintendent to manage the annual maintenance budget and capital plans
• Supervises and assists maintenance staff in daily duties
• Planned maintenance and construction of greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and bunkers
• Supervises planting and cultural practices for grasses, trees, and plants
• Ensures equipment is maintained and usage stays within budget
• Coordinates procurement, records, and reporting of maintenance activities
