Job summary

Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club in Maricopa, AZ is hiring a full-time 2nd Assistant Superintendent. The role emphasizes safety, training, and supervision of staff within a hospitality-driven golf operation under Troon.

The candidate should have 3–4 years of related agronomy/soil science experience, a driver’s license, and a pesticide license. Expect active participation in hiring, training, and compliance activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or AA degree with 3–4 years related experience in agronomy or horticulture.
• Valid Driver’s License and Pesticide Application License required.
• Willingness to supervise, train staff, and ensure safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine safety inspections on spraying and fertilizer equipment.
• Supervises and assists maintenance staff in daily duties.
• Interviewing, hiring, training, planning, and directing work; evaluating performance.
• Maintains log of applications and related reports; ensures regulatory compliance.
• Develops ongoing training programs and ensures proper licensing.
