Job summary

CBG Building Company is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to manage day-to-day field operations on multifamily construction projects. You will oversee subcontractors to keep the project on schedule, within budget, and in a safe, clean environment.

You will coordinate with the Project Superintendent, develop and maintain the project schedule, and ensure compliance with OSHA and local regulations while communicating clearly with trades, inspectors, and clients.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of construction management experience in a field role.
• Undergraduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related discipline preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of scheduling, contract administration, equipment, manpower, and safety regulations.
• Ability to communicate clearly with a team including tradespeople, inspectors, and clients.
• Experience with ProCore or BlueBeam and Microsoft Office.
• OSHA 30 is preferred but not required.
• Weekend availability and ability to travel locally.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a project schedule with the critical path and turnover sequence.
• Manage multiple subcontractors, coordinate weekly meetings, supervise work, and punch list management.
• Assist in jobsite utilization planning for facilities, materials, equipment, staging, and site access.
• Assist with preconstruction surveys by documenting existing conditions.
• Ensure CBG safety standards, including OSHA and other regulations, are observed.
