Job summary

Consigli Construction is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to help manage on-site construction activities on the project site. You will assist in safety programs, interpret drawings, and oversee self-perform and subcontractor operations to meet schedule and quality goals.

The role reports to the Superintendent and General Superintendent, with opportunities to grow into a Superintendent role through hands-on experience and training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or civil engineering is required/specified.
• 0-5 years of construction-related experience.
• Understanding of building plans and specifications.
• Knowledge of safety standards and enforcement.
• OSHA 30 Required.

Responsibilities

• Assist on-site management of construction activities on the project site.
• Help administer project safety program to maintain a safe work environment.
• Provide technical assistance, interpret drawings and submittals.
• Manage select self-perform and subcontractor operations including safety, budget, schedule, quality.
• Support daily/weekly tasks: reports, safety walks, quantity reports, schedule updates.
• Understand project schedule and critical path; participate in short-term planning.
• Participate in the quality program with inspections and material verification.
• Interface professionally with client, A-E reps, other contractors, and officials.
• Support business development and lead generation for future projects.
• Attend superintendent and safety meetings and trainings.
• Develop skills to become a Superintendent and manage all aspects of the project.

Salary Range: $76,000 - $89,000

Reporting directly to the Superintendent and General Superintendent, the Assistant Superintendent will help with daily on-site management of construction activities on the project site.

Responsibilities / Essential Functions

• Help administer project safety program to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
• Provides technical assistance on the project, interprets contract drawings and submittals.
• Manage select self-perform operations and subcontractor operations including safety, budget, schedule, and quality.
• Assist Superintendent and Project Manager with daily and weekly tasks including daily reports, daily safety walks, weekly quantity reports, and weekly schedule updates.
• Understand the project schedule and the critical path.
• Review and provide content for the short-term plan.
• Participate in the quality program including attending meetings, performing inspections, and verifying materials.
• Interface with client representatives, A-E representatives, other contractors, and various building officials in a professional manner when required.
• Participate in business development. Create Raving Fans on current projects. Utilize contacts to initiate leads for future projects.
• Participate in monthly superintendent's meetings, quarterly safety meetings, and periodic training sessions.
• Develop skills required to become a Superintendent and manage and control all aspects of a construction project.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree required, preferred in Construction Management/Civil Engineering.
