Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an experienced Assistant Superintendent to coordinate and supervise craft teams on a major construction project. The role includes managing subcontractors, reviewing certifications, and supporting safety and schedule development.

Travel up to 100% and collaboration with Project Managers on timelines are essential. Base pay ranges from $95,700 to $129,200 with location-based adjustments and eligibility for Mortenson's incentive plan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years construction management or related experience.
• Completion of or interest in Master, Journeyman, or Apprentice electrician program preferred.
• Electrical circuitry qualification or ability to be qualified by Mortenson Electrical Managers, if necessary.
• Microsoft Office, project, and pertinent web application skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate on-site operations/Scope of Work (Equipment, Labor, Schedule).
• Provide guidance on setup, work in-place, and closeout/demobilization.
• Support Project Managers on schedule development and updates.
• Review and approve craft worker timecards and certifications.
• Participate in site safety audits and safety meetings.
• Manage quality control of self-perform and subcontractors' work.
• Hire and dismissal process of craft workers.
