Job summary

Holder Construction is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to join our Operations team on Fort Wayne, IN projects. This full-time, in-person role leads on-site activities, supervises field crews, and ensures safety, schedule, and quality objectives are met.

You will work closely with office and field teams to support project goals, mentor associates, and drive risk management across complex commercial construction sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction/engineering field or 3+ years of equivalent experience.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Outstanding communication and time management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Execute contract requirements and support the project’s safety, schedule, and quality objectives.
• Exemplify Holder’s commitment to safety and enforce compliance with OSHA and company policies.
• Oversee on-site workforces, coordinating daily scope, sequencing, and inspection of installed work.
• Assign responsibilities and collaborate with office and field teams to support project goals and manage risk.
• Manage project site logistics and organize on-site activities to maintain workflow efficiency.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to associates, supporting professional growth and team development.
• Read and interpret construction design documents and specifications.
• Perform additional responsibilities as needed to ensure successful project outcomes.
