Job summary

Holder Construction in Fort Wayne, IN and Mooresville, IN is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to join our Operations team on a full-time, in-person basis.

You will oversee on-site work, coordinate daily scope and sequencing, enforce OSHA policies, and mentor junior staff to meet safety, schedule, and quality objectives while collaborating with office and field teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction/engineering OR 3+ years of equivalent work experience.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Outstanding communication and time management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Execute contract requirements and support the project’s safety, schedule, and quality objectives.
• Exemplify Holder’s commitment to safety and enforce compliance with OSHA and company policies.

• Assign responsibilities and collaborate with office and field teams to support project goals and manage risk.
• Manage project site logistics and organize on-site activities to maintain workflow efficiency.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to associates, supporting professional growth and team development.
• Read and interpret construction design documents and specifications.
• Perform additional responsibilities as needed to ensure successful project outcomes.

About The Role
