Job summary

gpac is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to join our Nashville team on fast-paced commercial healthcare projects such as hospital expansions and medical office buildings. You will work with the Lead Superintendent to oversee daily site operations and ensure safety and schedule adherence.

The role requires 2–5+ years on-site commercial construction experience, preferably healthcare related. Familiarity with Procore, blueprint reading, and building codes is a plus; OSHA 30 or ICRA certification

About The Role

We are seeking an Assistant Superintendent to join our Nashville team on fast-paced, high-profile commercial healthcare construction projects (hospital expansions, clinical build-outs, and medical office buildings).

You will work directly with the Lead Superintendent to oversee daily site operations, maintain strict safety standards, and keep subcontractors on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily field operations, trade contractors, and site logistics.
• Enforce site safety and infection control protocols (ICRA / interim life safety measures).
• Assist in daily logging, quality control inspections, and punch-list management.
• Coordinate material deliveries, staging, and trade sequencing.
• Resolve on-site field issues promptly in collaboration with the project team.

Qualifications

Experience: 2-5+ years of on-site commercial construction experience; prior experience on healthcare, hospital, or clinical projects required.

Technical Skills

Familiarity with Procore (or similar PM software), blueprint reading, and building codes. Certifications: OSHA 30 preferred; ICRA awareness or certification is a strong plus.

Relocation / Location

Must be based in or willing to commute/relocate to the greater Nashville area.
