ProSource Group in New York City is seeking an Assistant Superintendent (Commercial Interiors / GC) to support major commercial fit-out projects with values from $10m–$20m within broader programs exceeding $100m. The role is fully site-based in Manhattan, reporting to a Senior Superintendent and requiring 1–3 years of field experience.

You will help coordinate subcontractors, monitor progress, read drawings, and ensure safety and quality on site.

Qualificações

Role Overview ProSource Group is recruiting an Assistant Superintendent for a general contractor delivering major commercial construction projects in New York City. Fully site-based and primarily working in Manhattan, you will report to a Senior Superintendent and support the delivery of commercial fit-out packages valued at approximately $10m–$20m within wider projects exceeding $100m. This opportunity suits someone with 1–3 years of relevant construction field experience who wants to develop their site-management skills on substantial projects. Commercial interiors experience is beneficial, although candidates with transferable field experience will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Senior Superintendent with daily site operations and subcontractor coordination.
• Assist with trade sequencing, short-term planning and monitoring progress against the schedule.
• Review drawings and help identify field issues requiring clarification.
• Coordinate deliveries, materials and jobsite logistics.
• Support site safety, quality inspections and accurate daily reporting.
• Assist with punch lists, corrective work and project closeout.
• Communicate site updates and outstanding issues to the project team.

Requirements

• Targeting 1–3 years of relevant construction field experience.
• Practical exposure to site coordination and working with subcontractors.
• Ability to read construction drawings and communicate clearly with field teams.
• Strong organization, attention to detail and a proactive approach.
• Available to work fully on site in NYC, primarily Manhattan.
• Commercial interiors or fit-out experience is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary of $90,000–$110,000, depending on experience.
