Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all on-site construction activities per plans, specifications and safety standards.
• Develop and maintain daily and weekly on-site schedules; monitor milestones.
• Supervise subcontractors and trades; manage timelines, safety and quality.
• Ensure safety protocols and OSHA compliance; lead safety meetings.
• Maintain accurate daily records and project documentation.

JOBSUMMARY

KRCisseekingaskilledAssistantSuperintendenttoleadandsuperviseconstructionactivitieson-site.AssistantSuperintendentsareresponsibleformanagingday-to-dayoperations,ensuringproject(s)arecompletedontimeandwithinbudgetwhileupholdingKRCscorevalues:Creativity/Communication/Quality.Theidealcandidatewillhavestrongleadershipabilities,extensivehands-onexperienceinconstruction,andadeepunderstandingofbuildingcodesandindustryregulations.

KEYRESPONSIBILITIES

ProjectPlanning:Overseeanddirectallon-siteconstructionactivities,ensuringthatworkisperformedaccordingtoprojectplans,specifications,andsafetystandards.Reviewprojectstartuppacket.plans,submittals,andprojectspecificationswithinternalprojectteamtoensureTeamknowledgepriortoprojectmobilization.Identifyscopegapsandareasofconcerninprojectdocuments,schedule,andconstructionprocesses.

Scheduling&Communication:Developandmaintaindaily,weekly,andoverallprojectschedules.Ensurethetimelycompletionofprojectmilestonesandresolvedelaysorissuesthatmayariseon-site.Overseethelogisticsanddeliveryofmaterials,tools,andequipment.Ensurethattheprojecthastheresourcesnecessarytokeepworkmovingsmoothlyandefficiently.Maintainopenandclearcommunicationwithclients,architects,engineers,andotherstakeholders.Provideregularprogressupdates.Addressconcernsandmanageexpectations.

Execution:Superviseandcoordinatetheworkofsubcontractors,tradespeopleandlaborerson-site.Fosterapositiveandproductiveteamenvironment,ensuringcollaborationbetweenallpartiesinvolved.Managesubcontractorperformanceandschedules,ensuringtheymeetprojecttimelines,safetystandards,andqualityexpectations.Proactivelyidentifyissuesontheconstructionsiteandimplementeffectivesolutions.Workcloselywiththeprojectmanagertoresolveanydelays,materialshortages,ortechnicalchallenges.

Quality&Safely:Performregularchecklistsandinspectionsorworktoensurequalitystandardsaremet.Identifyandaddressanyissuesrelatedtoworkmanshiporcompliancewithdesignspecifications.Enforcesafetyprotocolsonsiteandconductregularsafetymeetingsandinspections.EnsurecompliancewithallOSHAguidelines,companypolicies,andindustryregulationstomaintainasafeworkingenvironment.

Documentation:Maintainaccuraterecordsofdailyactivities,progressreports,safetyinspections,andothersite-specificdocumentation.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:HighschooldiplomaorGEDrequired;Bachelor'sdegreeinConstructionManagement,CivilEngineering,orrelatedfieldpreferred.

Experience:0-3yearsofexperienceinconstructionrole.

Knowledge:Strongworkingknowledgeofconstructionmethods,materials,andbuildingcodes.Familiaritywithconstructionmanagementsoftware(Procore).In-depthknowledgeofsafetyregulations,includingOSHAstandards.Abilitytoreadandinterpretblueprints,plans,andspecifications.

WORKINGCONDITIONS

Full-timepositionwithoccasionalovertimerequiredtomeetprojectdeadlines.

Thisroleisprimarilybasedonconstructionsites.requiringacombinationofofficeandoutdoorwork.

Exposuretovaryingweatherconditions,constructionnoise,andphysicallabor.Travelbetweenprojectsitesmayberequired.
