Job summary

Choate Construction Company seeks an Assistant Superintendent to support complex, full‑cycle projects on site and grow into greater ownership. This role emphasizes safety, partner relationships, and delivering progress across project types.

You will contribute to planning and scheduling, review construction documents, and lead field teams with owners, trade partners, and internal staff to ensure safe, on‑time delivery.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to champion Safety as an onsite leader.
• Assistance with managing projects from start to finish.
• Experience creating and executing project planning and scheduling.
• Ability to review and clearly communicate construction docs (drawings, specs, contracts, scopes).
• Support leading project teams and fostering collaboration with owners, trade partners, and internal teams.

• You can demonstrate you have championed Safety as an onsite leader on a consistent basis.
• You have experience in assisting with managing projects from day one through project completion.
• You have demonstrated success in assisting with the creation and execution of project planning and scheduling.
• You can demonstrate the ability to thoroughly review, interpret, and clearly communicate construction documents, including drawings, specifications, contracts, and scopes of work, to ensure accurate execution, alignment across teams, and successful project delivery
• You have assisted with leading project teams through strong relationships, serving as a field leader who builds trust with owners, trade partners, and internal teams to drive collaboration, accountability, and successful outcomes.
• You can effectively leverage construction management platforms such as Procore to streamline jobsite communication, coordinate daily activities, manage documentation, and support efficient project execution.
