Job summary

gpac is assisting a leading heavy civil contractor in hiring an Assistant Superintendent to support bridge rehabilitation, bridge replacement, and specialty infrastructure projects. This role offers a strong career path toward becoming a Superintendent.

Traveling field position with advancement opportunities and a company vehicle for qualifying roles. Responsibilities include coordinating crews, supervising foremen, managing subcontractors, and ensuring schedules, safety, and quality.

Qualifications

• Experience in heavy civil, bridge, or concrete repair preferred.
• Ability to read construction plans and specifications.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel and valid driver's license.

Job description

A leading heavy civil contractor is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support bridge rehabilitation, bridge replacement, and specialty infrastructure projects. This role offers a strong career path toward becoming a Superintendent.

Qualifications

• Construction, field operations, or crew leadership experience preferred.
• Heavy civil, bridge, or concrete repair experience is a plus.
• Ability to read construction plans and specifications.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• OSHA 10/30 preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Willingness to travel.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.

Compensation & Benefits

$105,000-$125,000 base salary, with total target compensation of approximately $115,000-$140,000 including per diem and bonus.
