Job summary

Ulta Beauty is seeking an Assistant Stylist to engage guests, consult on hair care needs, and help deliver quality services under mentorship. The position is temporary, designed to train talent for a stylist role with emphasis on guest look and service excellence.

During months 4–6, the assistant will begin servicing guests of their own while continuing support. The role prioritizes guest experience, productivity, and ongoing learning in hair trends and techniques.

Qualifications

• Cosmetology license required.
• Knowledge of haircutting, coloring, styling and brow services.
• Ability to learn new techniques and products quickly.

Responsibilities

• Engage guests, consult on hair care needs and recommend services.
• Support and mentor a senior stylist, aiding in sales and productivity.
• After month three, perform hair design, color, styling and related services.
• Maintain sanitation, service protocols and store policies.
