Job summary

Ulta Beauty is seeking an Assistant Stylist to engage with guests, assess hair care needs, and recommend products and services. This temporary role is designed to train aspiring stylists under an Elite or Master Stylist for the first three months, focusing on guest service, productivity, and learning new technical skills.

During months 4–6, you will begin servicing guests of your own while continuing to assist, with opportunities to advance in hair services, color applications, and makeup

Qualifications

• Cosmetology license required.
• Knowledge of hair, makeup and skincare techniques.
• Ability to learn and perform services under mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Engage with guests and consult on hair care needs.
• Assist mentor stylist and prep guests for services.
• Perform services after initial training period, including hair design and basic color.
• Demonstrate products and services to guests to drive sales.
• Support in-store events and promotions to enhance guest experience.
• Adhere to safety, sanitation and procedure standards.
