Job summary

Ulta Beauty is seeking an Assistant Stylist to engage guests, consult on hair care needs, and recommend products and services. This temporary role trains under an Elite or Master Stylist for the first months, then begins servicing guests of their own.

The position emphasizes guest service, performance, and ongoing learning in hair styling, color, and makeup applications within a dynamic store environment.

Qualifications

• Cosmetology license required.
• Knowledge of current salon techniques and products.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong guest service orientation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional guest service and contribute to achieving store goals.
• Support mentor Stylist with hair services and product recommendations.
• Assist with bookings, sanitation, and inventory management; learn new techniques.
• Perform services and demonstrate products as you gain experience.
• Maintain salon cleanliness and ensure compliance with safety standards.
