Job summary

Ulta Beauty is seeking an Assistant Stylist to engage with guests, consult on their hair care needs, and recommend products and services. This temporary role prepares talent for a stylist position, with mentorship from Elite or Master Stylists for the first 3 months and progression to servicing guests of their own in months 4–6.

The role emphasizes guest service, performance, and ongoing learning of techniques, trends, and product knowledge to deliver an exceptional total-look experience.

Qualifications

• Cosmetology license required.
• Ability to perform hair services including color, cutting, styling, and makeup.
• Strong guest service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional guest service and contribute to store goals related to retail and service sales.
• Assist mentor stylist in hair services and haircare product recommendations.
• After three months, perform hair services including design, color, texture, and makeup as applicable.
• Demonstrate products to guests to drive sales and enhance the guest experience.
• Maintain store cleanliness and adhere to safety and sanitation procedures.
