Job summary

Ulta Beauty is seeking an Assistant Stylist to engage with guests, consult on hair care needs, and recommend products and services. This temporary role prepares talent for a stylist position and includes mentorship by an Elite or Master Stylist for the first 3 months, with responsibilities expanding to servicing guests independently in months 4–6.

You will focus on guest service, performance, and learning new technical skills while contributing to store goals and a positive guest experience.

Qualifications

• Cosmetology license is required.
• Ability to learn and perform hair services under guidance.
• Strong guest service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional guest service and support store goals for sales and loyalty.
• Assist mentor stylist with hair services and product recommendations.
• After three months, perform hair services including design, cuts, color, and styling.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of salon and work area.
