Job summary

Ulta Beauty is seeking an Assistant Stylist to engage guests, assess hair care needs, and recommend products and services. This temporary role prepares talent for a stylist position with mentorship from an Elite or Master Stylist during the first 3 months, focusing on guest service, performance, and productivity.

From month four onward, you will begin servicing guests of your own, perform hair services, demonstrate products, and support in-store events to deliver an unrivaled guest experience.

Qualifications

• Cosmetology license is required.
• Ability to perform hair services with basic techniques.
• Willingness to learn additional skills and product knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Engage with guests and assess hair care needs.
• Recommend products and services to guests.
• Support and mentor another stylist to meet sales goals.
• After month three, perform hair services and various styling procedures.
• Demonstrate products to drive sales and guest experience.
• Assist with in-store events and promotions.
• Maintain cleanliness and adherence to safety procedures.
