GENERAL SUMMARY & SCOPE

The Assistant Stylist engages with guests, consults on hair care needs, and recommends products and services. This temporary role prepares talent for a stylist position, focusing on performance, guest service, and process compliance. Mentorship is provided by an Elite or Master Stylist during the first 3 months, with responsibilities expanding to servicing guests in months 4-6. A passion for the beauty industry and a willingness to learn are essential.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Performance

• Delivering exceptional guest service and supporting store sales, guest loyalty, and shrink goals.
• Supporting mentor Stylists to meet sales and productivity targets through recommendations, service assistance, and retail sales.
• Performing hair services including cuts, color, treatments, styling, and more after three months.
• Conducting product demonstrations to enhance sales and guest experience.
• Supporting in-store events and staying informed about industry trends and products.
• Maintaining prompt attendance.

People

• Building guest relationships through consultations and recommendations.
• Serving all guests efficiently under mentorship.
• Collaborating with skin therapists and retail teams for a comprehensive guest experience.
• Fostering professional relationships with peers and brand partners.
• Promoting the guest loyalty program and app.

Process

• Ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, safety, sanitation, and infection control standards.

• Attending training and adhering to dress code.
• Implementing loss prevention practices and executing operational tasks.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• Cosmetology license required.
