General Summary & Scope

The Assistant Stylist engages with guests, consults on hair care needs, and recommends products and services. This temporary position prepares talent for a stylist role, focusing on guest service, technical skills, and product knowledge. Mentored by an Elite or Master Stylist for the first 3 months, then begins servicing guests independently from months 4-6.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Performance

• Deliver exceptional guest service and meet store sales and loyalty goals.
• Support mentor Stylist in sales and productivity through recommendations, service support, and retail.
• Perform hair services including cuts, color, styling, treatments, and more after three months.
• Conduct product demonstrations and support in-store events.
• Stay informed on industry trends, products, and services.
• Maintain regular attendance.

People

• Develop guest relationships through consultations and recommendations.
• Serve guests efficiently under mentorship.
• Collaborate with skin therapists and retail team for a comprehensive guest experience.
• Build professional relationships with peers and brand partners.
• Promote the guest loyalty program.

Process

• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Follow service protocols for consistency.
• Use booking and client systems effectively.
• Communicate supply needs and maintain store standards.
• Attend trainings and adhere to dress code.
