General Summary & Scope

The Assistant Stylist engages with guests, consults on hair care needs, and recommends products and services. This temporary position prepares talent for a stylist role, focusing on guest service, performance, and technical skills. Mentored by an Elite or Master Stylist for the first 3 months, then begins servicing guests independently from months 4-6.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional guest service and support sales, guest loyalty, and retail shrink goals.
• Support mentor Stylist in meeting sales and productivity goals through recommendations, service assistance, and retail suggestions.
• Perform hair services after initial training, including cuts, color, treatments, styling, and more.
• Conduct product demonstrations to enhance sales and guest experience.
• Assist in store events and marketing initiatives.
• Stay informed on industry trends, products, and services to better serve guests.
• Maintain regular attendance.

People

• Develop guest relationships through consultations and recommendations.
• Serve all guests efficiently under mentorship.
• Collaborate with skin therapists and retail teams for a comprehensive guest experience.
• Build professional relationships with peers and brand partners.
• Promote loyalty programs and app benefits.

Process

• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety, sanitation, and infection control standards.
• Follow service protocols for consistency and quality.
• Use booking systems for appointments and follow-up.
• Communicate supply needs and maintain store cleanliness.
• Attend training and adhere to dress code.
• Follow loss prevention practices and complete operational tasks.
