General Summary & Scope

The Assistant Stylist engages with guests, consults on hair care needs, and recommends products and services. This temporary role prepares talent for a stylist position, focusing on guest service, technical skills, and product knowledge. Mentored by an Elite or Master Stylist for the first 3 months, then beginning to service guests independently from months 4-6.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional guest service, meeting sales, loyalty, and retail shrink goals.
• Support mentor Stylist in sales and productivity, including add-on recommendations, hair services, and retail suggestions.
• Perform hair services after initial training, including cuts, color, treatments, styling, and makeup applications.
• Demonstrate products, support in-store events, and stay informed on industry trends.
• Maintain prompt attendance and store standards.

People

• Develop guest relationships and serve walk-in guests efficiently.
• Collaborate with skin therapists and retail teams for a comprehensive guest experience.
• Build professional relationships with peers and brand partners.
• Promote loyalty programs and app benefits to guests.

Process

• Ensure compliance with policies, safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures.
• Follow service protocols and utilize booking systems effectively.
• Maintain store cleanliness and attend professional development trainings.
• Adhere to dress code and protect company assets.
