Job summary

The Rome Floyd Chamber is seeking a motivated Student Assistant for Men's Basketball to support the coaching staff and enhance the student-athlete experience. Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills and a passion for basketball.

Responsibilities include assisting with practice planning, game-day operations, and community service events. Candidates must be current students in good standing and available for evening/weekend work. Proposed salary is $12.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a GHC student in good academic standing.
• Interest in photography, social media, or sports broadcasting is a plus.
• Must be available to work evening/weekend hours during home games.

Looking for a motivated student assistant basketball coach with strong communication and leadership abilities with a passion for helping student‑athletes improve both on and off the court.

Responsibilities

• Understand, support, and carry out the college's mission, vision, and values, and comply with mandates and regulations of government and accrediting bodies.
• Assist coaching staff with practice planning, skill development, and weights.
• Assist with film software and scouting reports.
• Assist with organizing community service events.
• Support game‑day operations, including equipment setup.
• Encourage teamwork, communication, and positive sportsmanship.
• Help monitor class attendance and study hall sessions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a GHC student in good academic standing.
• Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of a high school diploma or equivalent, while currently in a course of study related to the occupational field.
• Interest or experience in photography, social media, or sports broadcasting.
• Must be available to work evening/weekend hours during home games.

Proposed Salary $12.00 per hour
