Job summary

Carnival Cruise Line is seeking dedicated Assistant Storekeepers to support storeroom operations aboard ships. You will assist with issuing provisions, stores and hotel supplies, while maintaining sanitation and USPH standards under the Storeroom Manager.

Ideal candidates have prior experience in a similar role, ability to work in a team and independently, and hold STCW basics with health and Covid-19 certificates. English proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• US Visa C1/D preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Storeroom Manager and storekeepers in issuing and delivering Food & Beverage items and hotel supplies onboard.
• Load and store provisions as scheduled.
• Maintain high USPH hygiene and sanitation standards in the Provisions area.
• Rotate stock according to usage and stock safety protocols.
• Monitor store security and restrict unauthorized access.
• Support storeroom operations across all storeroom areas as needed.

Job description

OSM Thome Recruitment is looking for dedicated Assistant Storekeepers for unique career opportunities in the cruise industry, on behalf of Carnival Cruise Line.

Carnival Cruise Line ships need a lot of supplies for each cruise to make sure there is everything that our guests might need to have the best possible vacation.

Provisions Team, are the super organized behind-the-scenes superstars who are responsible for and control all receiving, storing, distribution, and inventories of all, food and beverage provisions as well as those from the central store.

Role Summary

Assistant Storekeepers under the supervision of the Storeroom Manager assists with all Storeroom Operations and Maintain sanitation and hygiene standards in the Provisions area.

Responsibilities and Tasks

• As directed by the Storeroom Manager, and or storekeepers, issue and deliver all requested Food and Beverage items to the respective areas, and issue Hotel supplies to all departments onboard for pick up from central stores during Central Stores operating hours
• To load and store provisions whenever provision delivery is scheduled.
• To assist in maintaining high level of USPH Regulations and to maintain such standards.
• To rotate stock according to use first stickers and instructions provided by the storeroom manager.
• To watch for unauthorized access by shipboard personnel and report to Storeroom manager immediately.
• To assist in keeping stores security by keeping all stores areas under lock and open only when necessary
• To assist the Storeroom manager and storekeepers in all areas within the storeroom as required.

Qualifications and competence

• Previous experience in similar field
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
• US Visa C1/D is preferred however not required at the time of application (the transit and crewmember VISA must be obtained before start date)
• Covid 19 Certificate

• Basic Training Certificates as per STCW standard
