Job summary

pOpshelf is seeking an Assistant Team Leader to help maintain a clean, well‑organized store and support the Store Team Leader in delivering a customer‑first culture. You will supervise staff, assist with merchandise presentation, deposits, and daily operations while ensuring profitability and loss prevention.

Prior retail or supervisory experience is preferred; strong customer service, accuracy, and teamwork are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a specialty retail environment preferred.
• Six months supervisory or team lead experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides superior customer service to exceed the customer’s expectations; greet and assists customers, and operate cash register and scanner to itemize the customer’s purchase.
• Assist Store Team Leader with scheduling employees, training, safety meetings, and policy compliance.
• Maintain daily and weekly cleaning checklists to provide a superior customer shopping experience.
• Follow processes to manage merchandise receiving, stocking, and display rotation.
• Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy by controlling damages, markdowns, and paperwork.
